Road & Highway Crossings in Central Florida

The standard crossing runs 80 to 400 feet under somebody's pavement, and this metro's pavement has more owners than most: dozens of municipalities, four county public-works departments, FDOT's district on the state system, and the regional expressway authority whose toll network threads the metro with its own permit process. We build the package for the owner of record, pothole everything the locates claim, and keep the fluid ledger honest even on a short shot — sand-over-karst does not grade on length.

Homeowner straight talk, standing network policy: if your run crosses your own open yard, a trencher beats a drill rig on price and we'll tell you so before anything else. Once a public road is in the way, the arithmetic changes: real crossings start at a $10,000 minimum, because the rig, the crew, the locates, and the MOT cost what they cost in every county here.

For utilities and GCs: alignment, product spec, and the road owner gets a quote back with permit scope, MOT, and vac-ex hours counted — the number that survives to the invoice.

Straight answers

Do the toll roads have their own process?

Yes — the expressway authority permits its own corridors separately from FDOT, with its own submittal and review. It's the locally easy thing to miss, so our scope sheet asks which network your crossing actually touches before anything gets priced.

Do you handle FDOT utility permits?

Yes — the state-system submittal with the bore plan attached, cover and location to the accommodation manual, and the district's realistic review window built into the quoted schedule. I-4 corridor work adds coordination with whatever the interstate's perpetual improvement program is doing that year; we check before we promise dates.
